The most frequently asked question that all our prospective clients ask us. I don't have a 'set in stone' price as I have to take into account seasonal fluctuations in demand, distance to a venue, length of time of the function and other factors as well. However I quote around £300 for a Saturday night function and £150 for a 2-hour school disco. I emphasis to anyone reading this to please not make price their priority in booking a disco. For such an important day such as a wedding, quality of entertainments surely the most important consideration.
I carry thousands of tracks on CD and cater for all tastes and genres. I invite clients and guests to pre select songs and make requests on the night. Abba, Wham, Bee Gees, Queen, Kylie and S Club 7 are regularly requested, along with Motown, 1980's New Romantics and current chart songs. Just let me know.
I allow 60 minutes to set up, although this can be done significantly quicker.
Yes we bring out a selection of the latest intelligent 'nightclub style' lights, which are often replaced and updated with new equipment. Spare bulbs are always carried, and we have a star cloth that covers up all the wiring as a frontage to the show.
This may sound a bizarre question but the common occurrence of my phone ringing on a Saturday night from a client let down is sadly the case and I do appreciate that prospective clients sometimes have no idea of the credibility of a disco they are contacting. Rest assured all verbal bookings are quickly responded to with a written and signed contract and a list of terms and conditions to both parties agreement. I work hard to authenticate the reliability of my company.
This can vary according to the size of the rig and the space allocated by the venue. Our goalpost stand is 6 foot long with 3 foot either side required for speakers. This can be reduced if the venue supplies the table.
Yes I do. Since our origin in 1994 I have covered hundreds of functions that include weddings, office and corporate functions, birthdays and many other types. Anyone that wants a children's party, I supply discos to at least 4 schools so can cater for this.
Yes I offer Black Tie, suit and tie or smart casual. I have even been known to 'dress in accordance with the functions specialisation'.... be warned never hire me for the Rocky Horror Do!!
A very good question. I always carry a spare amplifier, CD players and mixer and always have spare bulbs and radio mic. I possess a huge range of equipment that our engineers at Dave Seamer Entertainments and FTS Safety Solutions maintain annually.
